AQMLM is offering up to five £100 bursaries to assist AQMLM full members attending the 2017 IBMS Congress and presenting a poster on Quality Management.
The requirements for this offer are as follows:
- Applications will open on 1st May 2017 and close on 1st July 2017
- Applicants must be fully paid-up AQMLM members in the current subscription year (1st October 2016 - 30th September 2017)
- Applicants must be a presenting author on the official IBMS poster application form submitted to the IBMS
- The poster topic must be relevant to Quality Management in Laboratory Medicine
- Only one bursary will be awarded per poster
- The bursary application should be made via the Contact form or by email to mail@aqmlm.org.uk, and must include a copy of the IBMS Poster application form and a statement that the applicant has approval for study leave to attend the IBMS Congress and present the poster
- AQMLM Directors will review the Abstracts, shortlist those that they feel should be supported and contact the authors accordingly. They reserve the right not to award any bursaries and their decision is final; no correspondence will be entered into with unsuccessful applicants
- Grant of the bursaries will be confirmed when shortlisted authors have informed AQMLM that their Poster has been accepted for presentation
- Recipients will be required to sign a form declaring that the bursary will be used solely to reduce the total claimed from their employing organisation or the amount they are self-funding for Congress registration fees, travel or accommodation. On receipt of this form, AQMLM will make an electronic transfer of £100
- Bursary recipients will be required to add a footnote to their Poster which includes the AQMLM logo and acknowledges receipt of the bursary; a file will be provided
- Bursary recipients must agree that their name, department, employing organisation and poster title may be displayed on the AQMLM website and included in presentations to attendees at AQMLM events
