This questionnaire is designed to describe the ways we hold personal data about website account holders, full members and attendees at our events, and to seek their explicit consent for us to hold and use these data.
Your online profile exists on a server-side SQL database and holds your name, home & work contact details. If you have made online purchases, these will also be recorded in this database. A transaction record of online purchases is kept by PayPal, which we download for accounting purposes.
Periodically, we make a security copy of the online database and store this on the AQMLM laptop which is regularly backed up to an external hard drive.
Offline, we keep a master spreadsheet of all members and account holders and the years they paid for full membership and the meetings they attended. We also maintain individual event spreadsheets of those attending. These spreadsheets are kept on the AQMLM laptop which is backed up as above.
It is important for you to know that you can
- ask us at any time for details of the information we keep about you and how we use it
- sign into your account and amend your online profile at any time. (The minimum information we need is your name, work address, work email, contact telephone number, job title and quality role, but you may add other personal details if you wish.) We need you to update your profile with changes as they occur
- opt in or out of AQMLM bulk emails by editing your profile
- ask us to delete your online account (note that for the maintenance of financial accounts, we will not be able to delete historical membership and event payment transaction records)
Please be assured that AQMLM will never give your personal data to any third party without asking you for your explicit permission on each and every occasion.
The questionnaire below gives you the opportunity to give your consent to how we hold your personal information and to confirm your understanding of your rights. If you answer 'No' to any question, we will contact you by email to discuss how we may comply with your wishes.
